About
We are community-based, volunteer choirs (with a paid Director) serving the beautiful municipality of Delta, south of Vancouver, BC Canada. As a non-denominational, non-profit society anyone is welcome to join; we’re here to sing, have some fun and bring music to our neighbourhoods.
The Delta Choral Society operates the Delta Community Choir (our large, SATB choir) and Tapestry (our smaller, off-book ensemble). As of September 2011, all new members of the DCC will be auditioned for placement and pitch. All new members of Tapestry will be fully auditioned. Both choirs run for 2-terms per calendar year. The repertoire of the group covers choral works from all genres including folk, jazz, musical theatre, classical and religious and is chosen at the discretion of the Musical Director.

The Delta Community Choir and Tapestry are operated by the non-profit Delta Choral Society, first incorporated in 1988. The choir raises funds through member dues, fundraising, ticket sales and various grants (community and government). All members of the choir are members of the society. The Delta Choral Society depends on volunteers to continue operating so all members are asked to consider what they can contribute to the successful operation of the choirs.
The Delta Choral Society is a member of the BC Choral Federation.
